Planning a party for baby Gray: The Inspiration Board

Has it really been a month since I last posted about Gray's party? Remember, we decided on a theme - kind of. Gray LOVES his blabla dolls, so I wanted to use those as a starting point for his party. He especially loves his fox, his raccoon, a wolf named Beauregard and his panda bear. The panda bear isn't really a forest animal (not at all) but I'm going to choose to ignore that minor detail and call this a 'forest friends' party.  Care to explore my inspiration board?

I used the dolls as the basis for the color story as well as the theme of the party.  I love the owl print by Dwell Studio, which is also the crib bedding we used in Gray's room - so I brought that in, too.  We have the perfect polka dot plates and napkins in the shop, so that will be a no-brainer.  Since the blabla dolls are hand knit,   I thought it would be fun to do some yarn details - I'm thinking a yarn pompom garland or cake toppers (the darling little pompoms on twigs are from Steph Loves Ben).  And I'll be on the hunt for some little woodsy details, too - like a tree-slice cake stand or something like that.  Nothing too crazy or overly detailed, since I want to keep it sweet and simple with little handmade touches.

Gray's birthday is on a Saturday this year, so we'll plan to have his party on his actual birthday, August 10th...which gives me exactly 2 months to put this party together.
