Rainbow Floats

Green beer or Guinness not your thing?
Why not celebrate St. Patty's Day with a rainbow float?!

What you will need:

Soda in rainbow colors (we got ours from World Market) *

Vanilla Ice Cream

Whipped Cream

Rainbow Sprinkles

Cherries

Paper Straws (yes, they taste better with a pretty paper straw...trust me!)

*notes: if you didn't want to buy individual sodas, you could alway buy a clear soda like 7up or Sprite and add food coloring.
I just couldn't say, "no" to those cute vintage labels!

Directions:

Fill your glass 2/3 the way full with soda

Add enough ice cream so that soda creates foam that rises to the top of the glass without spilling over.

Top off with soda.

Add whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles & a cherry

Throw in a pretty paper straw & enjoy!!

* notes: making the float by filling with soda, adding ice cream and then topping off with touch more soda creates a really neat looking layer (see picture below)
