Ever since I made the decision to stay at home with my little loves, planning their birthday parties has become my creative outlet. I usually take months collecting ideas, testing out recipes & making everything by hand. Well, planning sweet little brunette's party this year went a little sideways. I had actually started planning her party with a completely different theme. However, when we found out that my husband's next rotation (he is in his 4th year of med school) had him out of town on her actual birthday, we had to move up the date by 5 weeks. Then, because of the change in date, the location where we were going to have her party wasn't going to be available (ugh!).
Long story short, I had to 25 days to come up with a whole new party from scratch. Luckily, the party gods smiled down on me, the stars aligned & my amazing cousin Kate was available to help me pull it all off. And, even though it wasn't my original plan, a lazy Sunday afternoon out in the county eating pie, sipping root beer floats and picking berries in the sunshine, was a pretty perfect way to savory one of the last summer days of the year.

Stevie

ReplyDeleteStevie, this is just beautiful. Not over the top, but so special for your little girl. I truly love the rustic and homemade touches. Beautiful! xo
ReplyDeleteOh Stevie! This is ADORABLE. Not surprised though! ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jordan & Abby! xoxox
ReplyDeleteStevie, you knocked it out of the park, as always! Every single detail is darling and the printables by Lulu's are my absolute favorites...I've been drooling over her Farmer's Market party for months now!
ReplyDeleteI was so excited to see that you had this at Kruger's Farm. We live in North Portland, so that's my neck of the woods. We go to the pumpkin patch on Sauvie's Island every year. I'm confused though, I thought you guys moved out of state? If not, I'd love to connect with you somehow! I'm a party stylist just starting out and I'm developing my new blog, Handcrafted Parties, and hopefully an Etsy shop as well to sell handmade party decor. I admire your talent and style and I'd be honored to "pick your brain" and talk all things party. :)
Oh, I'm styling a vintage-modern farm party in a week or two with Lia Griffith (who's also in Portland) and I'd love for you to see it when it gets featured!
