We are excited to share with you yet another favor tutorial from the talented
Maxine Chan of Tulle Box Designs!
Kraft packaging is my favourite material to work with. Its neutral colour is the ideal canvas for
any theme, from cottage rustic to modern glam. For this DIY, I wanted to create packaging that one might find at a modern chocolaterie or pastry shop. And it’s really so easy to do – read on to see how to create this perfectly polished favour packaging.
Materials
Scissors
Gold initial stickers
Gold cord (optional
Pen
Trim the circle stickers in half. Set aside.
Open the box. On the front of the box, make a tiny mark at the centre, near the top, with a pen.
Using the pen mark as a guideline, position the craft punch about halfway down and punch out a semi-circle. (When in doubt, it’s better to punch out a smaller semicircle than a larger one)
Tuck the lid back into the box. Make a mark on the lip of the lid in the centre of the semi-circle you just punched out.
Lift the lid and centre the semicircle sticker over the mark and press down.
Close the box and adjust the sticker if necessary. Stick an alphabet sticker down.
(Using alphabet stickers works best if you want to personalize each favour for each guest. If you want to use your own initial for each one, best to use an initial rubber stamp.)
Fill with goodies and tie with gold cord.
