DIY cupcake liner flower {shop sweet lulu}

Last week, we debuted these lovely plastic grass mats in the shop.  Not only did they sell out immediately, but we were flooded with requests for a DIY on the sweet flower straws we showed in the picture!  So here you go, a happy little (super simple) DIY!

Supplies:
paper straws
washi tape
cupcake liners
fringe scissors
standard hole punch

Directions:
1.  Open up a couple of cupcake liners and flatten them out
2. Fold the cupcake liners in half, one at a time
3. Punch a hole over the center fold of the cupcake liner (position your punch to just punch half a hole so that when you open them up, there will be one complete circle)
4. Using your fringe scissors, make cuts in the folded cupcake liner, making sure to only cut about 1"
5.  Repeat for the second cupcake liner
6. Open up the cupcake liners and place them onto a straw, one on top of the other
7.  Smoosh them together.  This is a very technical and complicated project.
8.  Push them upwards a bit to allow for tape.
9.  Wrap washi tape around the base of the cupcake liners
10.  Secure the washi tape into place
11. Zhoozh the flowers a bit.  Zhoosh means to "push up with flair"
12. That took about a minute.  Now you can make more!
